Kersey Honors a Veteran

Kersey Mobility would like to honor one of our veterans, Merrily Anderson. Merrily has been a loyal customer of Kersey Mobility since 1996. Since then she has bought 4 vehicles and come in regularly for servicing.

Kersey Mobility would like to honor Merrily for her service to our country as a member of the US Navy's prestigious Electronics Technician First Class during Vietnam. Serving our country from 1965-1970 Merrily quickly moved up the rank from technician to instructor and was one of the first women in the field. Merrily states, "It was a very enjoyable job."

Merrily goes on to explain that while stationed in Chicago during that time she saw the country and the military change dramatically from pre-Vietnam to post-Vietnam. She explains that before Vietnam the Navy Officers were not allowed to wear civilian clothes, but could only wear their uniforms when off base. During Vietnam, and even after the war she states that due to the strong anti-military sentiment they were not allowed to wear their uniforms outside the base, but could now ONLY wear their civilian clothes.

Merrily came to us in 1996 after she had gotten sick, and medically retired. Finding out about us from the VA, she was thrilled when she realized she was eligible for government funding due to her service to our country. Since her first visit she has bought 4 vehicles from us, and has had all of her adaptive equipment paid for by the VA. Approximately every three years she can qualify for a new van, and has been able to get various add-ons paid for after having VA evaluations done. The vehicle in the picture was even paid for in cash.

Merrily says she comes back to Kersey Mobility for serving and for purchasing new vehicles because, "You can't get better people. Kersey Mobility has such great service, there's no place I could go that I would be treated better! I wouldn't go anywhere else!"

Thank you Merrily for your service to our country, and for the opportunity of serving you for so many years!
